Checked fuses, (both under hood and in batt box), with ohmmeter and they all say they're ok. Not sure how to check for proper amperage.

4 wire plug in top left of ecm. 2 are power two are ground. Check those out with a test light.

Any idea what the voltage should be? I have a multimeter but no light and, of course, the fuel stop doesn't sell them

Should match battery voltage and good ground on each pair.

    Update on no ECM:

Wife reminded me of when freightliner wouldn't start after a visit to speedco. SO...I went through the fuse panel *again* and found one fuse with corroded blades. Changed that fuse and truck starts/runs again. I want to thank all of you for your suggestions and assistance. If my hair wasn't so short, I'd have been pulling it out.

Good that you find the problem! Word of advice: Buy a GOOD test light, it comes in handy when checking fuses or power source. Multimeters can be tricky to use. Be sure to check all fuses.

Dont buy a led test light either. The whole point of a test light with an incandescent bulb is to load the circuit which a multimeter or led cannot do.
