Hi, there. My name is Lisa. I'm 36 and live in Alabama. Single and no children. I haven't had much luck finding a long-term job around here, and don't want to keep waiting for someone to hire me.

I've often thought about trucking and have talked with a few recruiters. I back off because I'm worried I won't be able to handle a big truck, will confuse the gears and brake lines, etc., and don't possess a lot of mechanical ability. My research into this field still hasn't helped me decide if it's right for me or not.

Driving is something I've always enjoyed, although I know trucking is more than just driving. Definitely not trying to romanticize the job.

Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Thank you and be well.

Don't know about you personally but more and more woman have taken up a trucking career.
Not as complex as you may think.
You will have an automatic transmission and you have a 50% chance of getting the air lines correct right off the bat.

Never heard of Alabama; where is it? I was born & raised in Tennessee.
