Jacksonville is a huge city with many truck driving jobs, schools, and drivers. Why is it that you can find no where to get manual training or a refresher course? I have my CDL but my company has all automatic fleet. I got a opportunity to work for a company that has 50/50 auto and manual fleet. So you must pass a driving test in the manual. I have looked high and low for training or a trainer to teach me manual driving. I’ve asked private sellers of manual tractors, stood outside truck stops/rest stops asking truckers to teach me, and still found no help. This sucks cause I’m going to have to pass on this opportunity or wing a driving test (which I don’t want too)

Crazy thing about it I have no manual restriction on my license. State never reached out to me to change my license. No refresher courses available in the area unless you sign your life a way with a company or go to school for a month. I work 12hr shifts and can’t afford to not work for a month. Preciate ya advice

I'm curious. Why didn't you get manual training when you got your CDL?
