I've got a couple, this used to be the old GM Cross dock facility in Denver, Co., the area circled was where we had to make a U-turn to drop trailers, in the early 2000's we were still using 48' containers, if you went up on the curb the hostler would scream bloody murder.

The other place doesn't exist anymore, it was the Goodwill facility in Colorado Springs. To access the dock, you drove down an alley, blindsided into the covered dock. There were 7 docks, only two were accessible with a semi, there was a low hanging fire sprinkler line you had to clear with the trailer, IIRC it was 13'5. When you backed into the dock, your drivers side was wedged against a guardrail and telephone pole, most drivers had to climb across and get out the passengers side. It was originally designed for 28' straight trucks or pup trailers and cabovers.

Backing up S-turn narrow driveways though a narrow gate or in some wooded area in Central oregon where you leave the dirt road and find a better path through the trees. Or going into someplace and then backing out 3 miles because there is no place to turn around.

Dock Resins in Linden, NJ.
Back in off the street through one of two gates in a chain link fence into one of the two rows through the drums and totes filling the front yard. When you get back to the building you have to jog the blind side up against the fence to back in alongside the process building getting Just far enough back for the customer's hose to reach the dome lid without hitting the stuck open boiler house door behind you. Best to load in the am so the sun is in your eyes backing in instead of behind you blinding your mirrors.Northeast Hillbilly, alds and 650cat425 Thank this. -

Industry, California Minuteman, can be quite tight if busy and trucks trying to maneuver around other trucks parked trying to stage, it gets hairy sometimes.....
