Bring the fairing to paint supply shop for the best advice. The type of primer is critical.

I remember the fairings on my Kenworth were painted. One of them had to be replaced and repainted after a car side swiped me going across the GW about 9 or 10 years ago. I remember, not so fondly, several months later after that paint job peeling sheets of paint off that fairing. I also remember the clear peeling off the hood too. Thanks MHC Kenworth body shop in Nashville, TN for cutting corners on my insurance job. Guess who is needing an entire truck painted all these years later and the one shop out that there that definitely won't get the business. Hahaha!

    Trying to revive this thread...

I was wondering if anyone actually did this recently?

I am wanting to paint my bumper and fairings black or coat them with black bed liner like Line-X or similar. The fairings are unpainted gray plastic, like the regular gray unpainted plastic bumper on a cheaper Cascadia.

Is it possible to do it yourself or get it done somewhere reasonable? That Raptor Liner job on that van in the pictures would be exactly what I'm looking for if it will hold up.
