    I have a few:
    1. Take 2 Transport. If you wouldn't drive tired, go over hours of service, pull overweight or needed to go home, this wasn't the job for you. It's all fine and dandy until someone in your family dies. No skin off their nose. They'll simple assign what was to be YOUR truck to someone else. How do I know? I was the one they did it to. My aunt had died and I really wanted to go and say goodbye to a lady I loved dearly. Unfortunately and due to extenuating circumstances, I could not. When I called back to let them know I was available, they ignored my calls for over two weeks. The truck with my possessions was out and about and when they did let me get to it, all of my #### was stolen. Yes, you were punished for taking time off despite the deal being at least two weeks out. I wasn't the only one either. A good friend of mine was out two months and they only gave her 24 hours to return to the truck or they'd give it to someone else. They were shut down by DOT after a disgruntled driver, whom they want to pay after firing him, reported them and their drugged up drivers.
    2. H5 Services LLC. Really shouldn't bring this up as it may seem racist, but what the hell? This guy had the best equipment, paid you brilliant money (1099) a week and had the work to keep you going. Why on my list of the worst you ask? Well he didn't back drivers and liked to cuss you out before you could even be awake well enough to comprehend what was going on. Well the weekend of Mother's Day was extremely rough. He sent me to a waste management plant and you'd have to sign in. Before I could get the trailer cleaned out for the next round, he called wanting me to hurry it up. Yeah. Apparently, you can empty a 110 BBL tanker of oil water safely in 10 seconds. Then you have to wait in line for them to clean out the trailer. The Mexican guy in charge tells me that their boss had a certain set of trucks to wash out first. No problem. I'll wait my turn. Boss rings me up again and wants to know what's taking me so long. I explain the same thing the I was told and he calls the owner. He then rings me back saying that they told him that I was standing at the window 20 minutes straight and driving slow around the compound. I responded in the negative and he angrily hung up in my face. He then got angry because I wouldn't exchange trucks in what was a busy driveway. I was sent home for what I thought was time off. When I called, he cursed me out through the phone saying "I will get back to you whenever I ####ing feel like it!" I found out through a coworker that he'd told the crew that I was let go but never told me. Guess you get what you look for making $3000 a week. Good times.
    3. Tegra Excel Energy. Well, this is how I ended up back on the road. I'll try to keep it short but no guarantees. Well, working for someone I consider a "friend" is how we got here. He went off start at a new company, taking me and another guy with him. He sent everyone to work but me and expected me to just sit idly by on the yard which I refused. He proved that he'd rather had replaced me (I went home after three days of inactivity) than send me to work.. I'll save you the horror of a stressful jack knife that I had working here. I was losing my home and by the time he sent me to work, I'd had six eviction notices taped to my door. Why stay there? Complete stupidity is one of the reasons and having had a bad DAC and not being sure I'd be where I am now was the other. Basically, taking what I could get at the time. On my one and only load, the a/c blew out on me in 101°. I had no money and not even for a cup of ice. Someone damaged the trailer at the Flying J and I was blamed for that too. En route to the yard, the u-joint snapped from the truck, shot out whilst severing the brake lines and left me stranded. The ####### left me on that barren highway for 6 hours in the middle of nowhere. Thank goodness for the passing Parks and Recreation folk whom sent me an officer and wrecker. I just had the wrecker take me to the yard and cleaned out the truck. As they couldn't collect pay, they impounded the truck. I was still call block. They kept that lousy $147 for that load. I just went and drove a dump truck for my former boss until Hurricane Harvey hit Corpus Christi. Got evicted the next week.
I ended up driving for SRT until the doors closed. They say a job is "what you make of it". Well when you can smell the ####ing ########, run. Save yourself the trouble and heartaches. Wish I'd tried that website I found after sooner.

It's a tie between Liquid Environmental out of Mobile and C.D. Hallock out of Gulfport. Bad equipment, bad dispatch, bad attitude throughout the office that trickled down on the drivers. I lasted a full week in both cases.

I can’t say I’ve had a worst. I guess swift would qualify as the worst, but they were my foot in the door to trucking, and I never had an issue there. But that was almost 9 years ago. Every place I’ve been has been for a certain reason or another. I’ve also never just gone blind into a job without any research.

2 that tie for first place.
McLane Grocery Distribution. We ran 18- 25 stops a truck, usually 38K + LBS and finger printed every stinking box as we stacked them on a hand truck and ran it down the ramp. Getting a 53ft reefer with a sleeper into a 7-11, Kangaroo or Circle K was always fun, especially places like Charlotte, Richmond, Chesapeake. Every route was built to where you had to run illegal, but they would do surprise inspections on you while on the route. If they caught you or your partner running illegal you were put on final warning. The job was hard, especially in the summer. Some routes you were so tired it was a chore climbing the steps to the trans office. There was a lot of other shenanigans going on that just made the job miserable.
The other was Mountain View Hauling, a division of Mountain Milk out of Virginia. Mountain View was contracted to Pilgrims Pride to do some live haul and off haul (guts, feathers, blood, etc). We ran end dumps full of chicken guts or feathers from kill plants to the reclamation plant in Mt. Pleasant TX. Some runs would be tanks of sludge (waste water) back to Mt. Pleasant or to a sod or produce farm or blood, hoppers with a variety of product, reefers with hearts and livers or live birds from the farm. They always lied and manipulated drivers. 14 hour days were often 16 or 18 then back in 6 to 8. Nothing was ever fixed right. You would go through 4 or 5 trucks to find the least broke and often took the only available trailer regardless of condition. The seals and valves rarely ever closed tight thus leaving a steady & slow drip....or stream of blood and juice trailing you. At the kill plant you would have to pull guts out of the drain valves on the end dumps so they would close and roll the tarps over the load. It was always fun climbing up the sides to get the tarps rolled out. A very important point on guts, never....NEVER hit the brakes hard! A large amount of chicken guts would slosh right over the nose of the trailer and land on the back of the tractor and all over the road. That was not a fun task getting that mess cleaned up..
Thankfully we stank bad enough TXDPS, nor OK, LA & AR ever stopped us.
Sometime after I left Mountain View lost the Mt. Pleasant contract and JBS took it over.

For me would be a toss-up between Halvor Lines and Millis.

Halvor lines pay was way worse and likely still is, Millis had other idiotic policies that I didn't care for.
