Grocery business still booming. Your better paying van freight now, as things slow down in that segment, is most likely to be headed to a grocery DC.

I'm trying to negotiate a lower rate with brokers and they aren't budging.

I told the broker to give me extra $500 for a surfboard because I wanted to learn how to ride the waves too. He said that $200 should buy me one that's good enough for starters. It will be a cheap surfboard but I agreed. Now, I am hesitant to spend the money on it after all because there is no way I could stand on it let alone ride it. So if I don't buy it then I should return the money to the broker.

I remember the short bottles in the early to mid 60's, then after that they only had the long necks. Not sure if they discontinued the shorties or what.

Get a surfboard at Costco. You can try it out for a couple months, and if you don't like it you can return it. Costco has a stupid return policy. They take anything back in any condition, even without a receipt. I use to make deliveries at Costco, and they have huge sections of their back warehouse set aside just to hold returns. People would buy a new BBQ for a holiday weekend, then return it the following week.

I could try but I'll never get as good as @Scooter Jones at it. I wonder how much money he spent on his surfboard....

My week was totally F’d for various reasons but I thought things were still fairly solid @DUNE-T ?

Some softness here and there but overall good. Per mile was down 12 cents but I figured it was more due to some of this weeks “hiccups” bringing my average down.

I see load volumes dropped pretty much in half everywhere and Northeast has really dried up.
I also did alright ratewise, but it took a lot of work, I kinda started to forget what's it like, working hard to get good money lol
