Watch that video and tell me it would be wise to stop and converse with these "protesters"...

He should be charged, traffic on the road had stopped over 10 min before the incident.
    This is MnDOT footage.
Watch what was happening starting at 3:49 and then again at 14:30.

that would have been a road hazard, of an item, that is typically ALLOWED to be transported on our highways. humans are not typically allowed on our highways for protesting, or interfering with commerce.

it may have been your fault if you hit that dolly, then again, not much else you could have done, short of swerving and laying it over. most likely too, you would have NOT gotten a ticket, or charged by the police for the accident. what your company does with you, is yet another point, and being something in the road, such as a dolly, i highly disbelieve your company would have done squat

    2 different circumstances..

    1) an allowed device on the highway.....

    2) not allowed humans on the highway

or, "apples to oranges".......your argument/debate is no where near a valid point.

why did the state or city even ALLOW such a protest on a major highway?

wouldn't it have been more prudent to have the protesting done at a neighborhood park?

Martin Luther King jr. Would be disgusted by what these people are doing under the guise of social justice. He was a man of honor and integrity with a great vision of the future and these idiots run around in the streets making a mockery of his lifelong work. It's saddening...

I'm not saying the protesters should have been there. The simple fact is that they were though. The road should have been closed, it wasn't and that was wrong too. Doesn't change the fact the driver could have turned around or called the cops while stopped several hundred yards from them. He chose to assult everyone in the crown, and choices have consequences. He chose poorly, so those consequences are going to be negative.
