Are your battery connections good? Terminals clean? Has it been starting and turning engine over fast? I would say you are due for new batteries. How old are the batteries? What does your volt guage read? Noise from right side could be alternator. How old is it? Belts good? Sometimes lay my hand on each battery and see if one feels warm, if so replace it, and and the other 2, or 3 of its friends. Some just replace just one, but IMO they are just kidding themselves.

Grinding on right side was my PTO i vacumed and hit engadge to ckean under it and forgot, case solved on that deal.

Batteries are 5 mo old new
    new starter .
Thing is when i start my truck i wait for whissels and bells to clear and then i have to give the peddal a quick hit to get ALT guage to work .
A nad when i do that my lights get alittle brighter ?

Had a few starters keep running when they go bad. Sometimes the solenoid contacts stick and cause this too. I have one in an old truck doing it now when first cold start. Gonna get it rebuilt soon.

Temp gun the starter and see how hot it is after cranking the engine. Than see how hot it gets from the engine and exhaust temp around it. It may be cooking to death. If it is way hotter than the block and bell housing next to it that can be an indicator of it running on after startup or heat soaking.

Be careful of them running like that. They will get hot and can start a fire.
