The clowns have already started in Wyoming...

Doesnt surprise me . Had a bunch of bozos blow past me on cabbage yesterday in thick thick ice fog. About 250ft of visibility going downhill and was getting my doors blown off by guys doing 50+ .

 

First real snow of the year amd they already messing up my lanes... This pisses me off to no end!

If you dont know how to drive in the snow stay south of I-70 from November until May!

 

WY also used to throw up the chain law and let drivers get thier job done... Now they just slam the gates and close the roads if it gets even a little dicey.

 

Oh the fun of driving in snowy conditions. Bet they will slow down next time

 

Real drivers also started out on sticks and developed a feel for the weight they pulled. Now it’s slap it in drive and floor it . You want to slow down let go of the fuel and downshifts to 2000 rpm . Imo you need to develop a feel for trucks before you go to a auto.

 

Without a clutch, how exactly would "a feel for trucks" help you when you lose traction driving an automatic?

 

They were already F’ing up back in September when that freak snowstorm hit I-80 in Wyoming and Utah! Barely 3 inches on the ground and drivers were already jackknifing on the highway between Green River and Evanston!! And that was before the 60 mph wind gusts started laying trucks over.

 

See what I'm talking about? Some folks want to appear like they know what they are doing. Look at that mess. What kills me is the 4 wheelers getting themselves in ditches and such. Yet if they come south to Memphis where I live, they'll try to make themselves look like Billy Bad ##### to southerners, when many of them are just as ill equipped to drive in snow as most of us down south. That's why I park it sometimes if I can. I know what I'm doing. They don't.
