Hard times. New a guy that lived real close to a service plaza on the Ohio pike. He went over and walked in and used the free trucker showers. He also was a truck driver. Was on hard times.

I worked at a gas station when I was in high school. Gas was .259 and cigarettes were 27 cents a pack. Those prices wouldn't cover the taxes today. 1966.

Someone with a few hundred in points want to send me a pic of your bar code ? Promise I won't use them all on a GPS and then sell it for half the price in cash!

Do they still offer "team" showers? if so find someone willing to ask for a team shower and get you one. Lots of trainers at least did this at one time.

Petro and Flying J are up to $15 for a shower now if you don't have the credits or fuel. Or maybe it varies from store to store, I don't know. I got a shower recently at a Petro in California and a Flying J in California and they were both $15. Not sure about TA and Loves I always have enough points so I don't know about them. The smaller chain stops are usually more reasonably priced I have found, ranging anywhere from $8 - $12 usually.

But yeah, $15 is quite a lot.

I buy thousands of gallons of fuel at pilot yearly. They don't exactly give me free showers. Before I give one away or sell one on the cheap I at least expect my wheels polished. So get your knee pads out rich boy.

Pilot DOES award shower credits for pumping gas. Last week I bought 17 gallons of gas and got 1/2 credit.
I believe the minimum gas purchase is 15 gallons for 1/2 credit.
You may have to get a feature added to your card.

I will have to check it out. While traveling last year by my conversion van they did not apply rewards or credits for gas to my dismay.

Fellow truckers came thru with showers though when needed.

Total bs that your credits evaporate after 2 weeks.

I just remembered the feature is for expeditors. Call PFJ customer service and tell them you also drive a expeditor truck that burns gas. You want points for those purchases too. Let me know please. (All my info is second hand, so I don't know all their policy details.)
As I wrote before, I purchased 15 gallons of gas for my personal vehicle and I got 1/2 shower credit.

    blairandgretchen Thanks this.
