    Got freightliner 98 fl112 c 10 car
When testing for codes, cruse in either off or on holding down resume I get 5 of 5 both on and off, does this mean the switch is bad? Every thing else works Jake's lights so on.

Hi Ken. I’m not sure if a Freightshaker is the same as a Pete, but there might be a clutch switch on the linkage below the floor that operates the jake and the cruise. When you release the clutch it hits a rod that senses it. It’s electronic. My switch was about $200 beans. Check into that

Could be a speed sensor on the trans. MIne has has 2 of them, One on top operates the cruise. Switch on brake goes bad, usually jakes won’t work either. I ran over a year without cruise, before finding out about the 2nd speed sensor. If you only have one, I don’t know if it controls the cruise or not. Something to look into.
