FYI...you’ll get in and out of Crete’s shops faster with a Freightliner. There shop techs are only certified to work on Freightliners so anything (International or KW) that requires a certified tech will have to go to a dealership or wait for one to come by a Crete shop.

Well, I guess the mechanic that installed my brake chamber last night might have been in too much of a hurry. Everything was fine when I pulled out of the shop. Fine when I hooked up to my trailer. Even fine when I went thru the WY POE...but sometime between there and a parking area west of Rawlins, the service brake air line that supplies it the pressure when you step on the brake pedal, came unscrewed. I stopped to answer a msg, and I heard a lot of air thru the brake system. By the time I pulled into a parking slot, my low air beeper was going off. I finally discovered what it was after I dropped the trailer and pulled out far enough to check inside the frame rails without crawling thru the snow, slush, and who knows what. Found the line, screwed it back on and tightened it down as tight as a 6" monkey-wrench can get it...and I was back in business. They need to give me a cut of all the service call money I am saving them, I swear!!!!

The joys of the mega fleet bs. Hopefully the next wagon you hook to won’t have the same issues. Pre and post trip insp are not that difficult but rookies always skip that and let the next victim worry about it.

Just hope it all works out for you. It didn’t sound too promising when the guy wanted you to start a new thread on Shaffer.

I just git a 2021 freightliner at the company i work for. When driver trainer was going over things with me I asked about the autoshift putting it in neytral on the flats and downhill. He said it doesnt do it on the flats but does do it down hill.

They had me T-call my W. Palm load in KC so another driver with enough hours could deliver by the appointment. Works for me, without the T-call, I was only gonna have 1050 miles on next weeks check since it delivered after payroll cutoff. With the t-call it gives me 2850-2900.
Nothing changes here though. Service on truck is close to being due...but they're 72 hrs behind in KC, so no go there. My OnGuard is getting more F'd up, can't do anything about it.(it was only picking up an overpass or sign once a day, today 3x and it said that radar was blocked 2x and cut my 65 mph cruise control off, so I got to go 62 for a while until I got it to clear up). I have 13 hrs between now and Saturday-midnite...and they send me a 900 mile run by Saturday night. Sorry...not gonna happen, so now I have a load to Joliet for Sunday...that workscatdog45, Lonesome, Dale thompson and 1 other person Thank this.
