Id be fine with always parking my reefer along a curb like I am tonight, or somewhere a little out of the way from the rows of other trucks.
But lets face it, the curbs fill up with dry vans, flats, and other quiets. So thats not an option most of the time.
If the quiets left the curbs open for reefers, the rows would be more peaceful. Wont happen, though.
If I can spare a quiet truck from my noise, I will. Also reduces chances someone will shut it off in the middle of the night.
Noisy reefers

BS, our X4s and Vector are very quiet.
The biggest problem is loose belts on reefers, noise and vibration makers.... with them tight it's a huge different but yano so many people don't do proper maintenance.
If you can see that belt shaking when the covers are open and it's running it needs tightened. It should run nice and smooth.TallJoe, UsualSuspect and Farmerbob1 Thank this. -

My 7300x4 units are very quiet and smooth and the vector unit is the quietest reefer I've ever heard bar none.
Matter of fact it's on continuous right now and you can't even hear it running in the bunk, have to look out the curtain to see green.Farmerbob1 and bigkev1115 Thank this. -
Farmerbob1 Thanks this.
