    so its really not so bad?? i'm in the oil field now, think we may have chatted last year when it slowed down, I almost made the jump but then loads picked up for me and I chickened out. but yea oil is in negative. I can find a tanker job that pays more than flatbed and works less, but I am so tired of tanker, its too vegetative, like van. but I worry about the market. how is flatbed moving if nobody is working.
    i'm afraid all the people working at the shippers are going to realize they can make more on unemployment.
    but this is the mood i'm in. thanks for any insight you offer

    cotc has a very diverse group of customers hell we started even hauling for Walmart. We haul just about everything but they have these podcasts we listen to and miles across over all drivers haven’t changed. My last three loads were total boss Maine to Oregon then Oregon to sc and sc to ####cago not bad but there has been more short runs for a lot of drivers here but that’s just the nature of freight right now but we still get that 2800+ when not going home. It’s a good company.

    Maldonado oil is a temp things it’ll bounce back in fact I’m highly invested in it right now it hit negative for first time in history. But that’s just because of Russia and Saudi Arabia ####ing with prices right before corona sent the demand down big time but a year from now it’ll be above 40 bucks a barrel and I will have made a nice profit

    And we are still hiring in fact they said they are being in more than usual people in orientation idk.

    And I mean #### have you passed a Home Depot or Lowe’s lately they are always packed! People home doing more work and what not so freight keeps going on the flatbed side

    1500 length of haul. where do you live to get that. right now their website says 1041. do you get into a certain set hours routine ie 6am to 6pm with those long hauls?

    What does COTC use their dry vans for? I see them in their yard a lot

    i live in PA it’s all different we have two fleets quad and regular the quad guys run out west home every weekend their length of haul is less obviously I usually run back and forth across us current load right now MT to PA may get a short run here and there some weeks rare weeks happen but usually they aim to get us to 3000 miles a week as long as nothing breaks down or hometime still doing good here

    #### if I know lol I see them all the time there I looked at em they look not so DOT legal lol I think they used to use em now they just sit there maybe for returning tires in the past or something
