What is the maximum allowable weight for a tandem tandem combination in Canada and how do you split it between steering , drives and trailer axles ? In the U.S. for example 80.000 Lbs. is split up 12.000 , 34.000 , 34.000
weight .

Depends where you are. But the above #'s are legal across Canada.

Ontario is slightly higher. Max for tandem is 41300 kg gross. You can go up to 17900 on a set of tandems in Ontario.

This is an explanation I use for our drivers. If that is what you are asking, I hope it helps.
When loading 48- and 53-foot trailers with tandem axles, you must keep
weights to 1000 pounds or less per foot of trailer used. Pallets or totes cannot
weigh more than 2000 pounds each for side by side, front to back loading.
If your pallets or totes weigh more than 2000 pounds, you must spread the
weight out to keep the 1000 pounds per foot formula. This could mean loading
one single in center then two side by side, then one single and two side by side,
etcetera. Using extra logistic bars to move weight to the rear of the trailer,
keeping the 1000 pounds per foot formula, is also acceptable.
When loading Tri-Axle equipped trailers, the rear half can be loaded to 1200
pounds per foot of trailer using the same principles outlined above.
**48 and 53 ft tandem axle trailers can only be loaded to
45-48,000 pounds MAXIMUM payload.**
***ALL LOADS APPROACHING MAXIMUM WEIGHT MUST BE SCALED*** -
