Their services are incredibly terrible. They helped to put me in debt cause after they filed my taxes I owed large amount of taxes. Ur better off going with a private tax attorney. They will help you so you don't owe anything.

Hubby signed up with them last Friday and was told they would contact him Monday to get things started and set up LLC . Wednesday and still nothing. I sent an email stating if nothing happens today I am contacting my credit card company about the fraudulent charges. This doesn't give me confidence in them.

I was with them for a awhile when I was with Landstar. Back in '08. They had access to my weekly statements so they had all of my fuel purchase numbers. One monthly report showed no fuel usage and when I said something they said they needed me to send in fuel receipts. So next month I sent them in. The next report showed my fuel numbers X2. On set from the receipts I sent in and one set from my statements. they used both and couldn't see the numbers were the same. Bunch of idiots there. Run away fast.

I have Neat Recipes ( older version so not fee to use) . My cpa set it up the way she wanted it. Every week I scan my receipts. At the end of the quarter i just walk in with it all and a thumb drive. Takes her about 15 min and I'm done

If you have 2 brain cells, you can do what ATBS has to offer by sacrificing 30 minutes of your time each week, and saving $25 a week.
My company offered them to me and figured why not. Well first thing they did was say they're charging me $300 to file my personal income tax for this year since I started my owner-operator journey mid-year. Secondly, they literally do nothing but take your receipts and make a P/L statement for you, that is more behind than your credit card balances showing up on your credit report. It's a waste of money in my opinion. I can track my own expenses just fine without having to wait until October to see June's report and having my taxes prepared on my own for a lot less than $1,300 a year.TheLoadOut and brysol01 Thank this. -
Stay away. They are a money sink. I have been paying them 25.99 a week and they don't know how to read a settlement and are so lazy that unless you chase after them they often don't record the information.
Every settlement and every receipt has to be double checked because they will enter it wrong on a P&L.
For example my company records DEF fluid as an EFT from Tcheck rather than as DEF. Since they do this ATBS records it as an advance. So my entire expense for DEF is recorded as income rather than expense doubling my tax liability.
If you are not spending time looking at every statement and delineating how each should be recorded they will make mistakes. If you are looking at every statement that closely, don't waste your time and money and just record it yourself.flood Thanks this. -
I had done my own taxes for several years, then I had a CPA do them for several years. Then I went back to doing them myself. Then I decided to have a truck expert do them, I went with ATBS, after they finished them and I looked them over to sign. There was an error on my depreciation, they did not add up my dollars spent on fuel correctly. There were some other errors, but I don't remember what they were. I tore that return up and completed it with numbers that were correct.
To be fair to ATBS this was years ago and they had just moved their corp office, it could be that the move compromised their work for that one year. This was years and years ago. After the one year with them, I went back to doing them myself.
The best years were when the CPA was doing them, We talked a lot and became friends. He told me that, with how much I studied tax laws and my understanding of taxes I should sell the truck and become a CPA (he said this as a joke)
My suggestion to everyone is to read read read, study study study. Have enough knowledge so you can go over your return and make sure the numbers reflect what is accurate. This is one reason I stayed a sole proprietor for ever (to keep it simple)
I cannot give any opinion on LLC or corps. I just kept it simple so I could understand -
Do you want some stranger(s) at a huge firm handling your finances or someone up close and personal and has a firm that has time for you. It's tricky when it comes to money but I'd prefer someone close to home that I can visit face to face with from time to time.
Too many businesses prey upon new owner ops or lease ops that look good to newbies, that may be bad with paperwork. "Hey let us file your 2290" "Hey we'll file your UCR"....all for the filing fee of $150.00, when you can do it yourself.mtoo Thanks this.
