I've noticed that the unhappy ones post it frequently, the happy ones rarely do.
But, hey, whatever. I'm very happy at Pride, and I have quite a few other companies to compare them to. Not every company is right for every driver, and not every driver is right for every company.
I'm not going to try and talk anyone out of their poor opinion or experience, but I will express my own, and please don't be too disappointed if it doesn't confirm your pre-conceived notions.
I used to complain a lot about companies I worked for. Then, I realized that maybe, just maybe, I had a ####ty attitude, and that if I worked on my attitude, my experiences might improve. I

never seen a driver unhappy there i have talked to a few I am sure they are there but then you can find negative with any company. does that make them all bad my version of bad am I making money to fund my expenses and save. Am I able withstand the treatment IE living conditions bad truck with bad ac, or dispatch condescending 18 year old fresh out of high school thinks he knows something? that last one I have had thick skin as long they dont mess with me and try get me do something bad like run over my HOS i am normally good. the original poster though.
1 being fuel, how many companies let the driver decide where you fuel ? most companies I have ever been told me where to fuel its there money there truck if you can save money why not tell them go here. In some cases maybe fuel sooner or something.
2 governed most companies govern there truck even the smaller companies
3 sounds like he cant preplan or send message hey ill arrive there 2 days earlyer can i drop off sooner or something I mean for all we know its set to 5 days out because how he setup or how hes driven dispatch has gotten on to him because he having hard times making deliveries on time. I know dispatchers who do that if you constantly cutting it too close and late they will give you bigger window loads if they can so you succeed and them as a dispatcher and give good loads to good drivers.Voodoo Pyg and Blue Zombie Trucker Thank this. -
Confirmation bias is the tendency to search for, interpret, favor, and recall information in a way that confirms or supports one's prior beliefs or values. It is an important type of cognitive bias that has a significant effect on the proper functioning of society by distorting evidence-based decision-making. -

Ok, for example, governed slow trucks. Check the SaferWeb CSA scores of companies with 65 mph trucks vs companies with 70 mph trucks. There's an interesting correlation, higher speed = higher CSA scores.
If you need more speed to make your loads on time, you're working for a ####ty load planner, or, you don't plan very well yourself.
If you need more speed to make money... same as above, previous paragraph.
But, hey, don't worry, your company will pay your speeding tickets, right? I mean, your driving their truck, right?
I've had my Class A for 3 years, with over 2 of those years, driving, mostly OTR. I've totaled one tractor, and I have a CSA score of... another from roll... ZERO.
That's what's important to me, not a 70mph governor. Not "oh ####, not another California load."
I could go on and on.
Anyhow, I haven't yet seen *anything* to support the sour grapes claims made in those whiny, negative reviews. Nothing. So, yeah. Huge grain of salt.BigHossVolvo Thanks this. -
