I have both my high side and low side service ports are leaking Freon. I don’t believe I can change just the Schrader valve. But I can unscrew the whole port from the line. Are all 134a service ports the same size? I have posted pictures of how the low side goes on and of the low side port front and back. I tried the high side and it’s aggravating to get a wrench on. I’m at a truckstop now but I’m gonna deliver in the morning and get to the house and try and get this fixed. Are these something autozone or advanced would carry?

High and low are different sizes from each other but I'm about 99.9% sure the pair are the same regardless of vehicle. I've done R134a A/C on everything from trucks to off highway equipment. Every valve was the same. When you switch refrigerant type the valves do change if I remember correctly.

Yea that’s what I thought. In the intake side, where you hook the hoses up are all the same. I just didn’t know about the threaded side. If those were different. And I’m pretty sure the low side port on mine is a female end and the high is a male end thread. I’d much rather just replace the ports than take the lines off. The low side wouldn’t be that bad to change but the high side line goes all the way under the bunk.

I don't know about the threaded part but the ports themselves should be the same.

I've had a schrader valve come unscrewed a little on my car's low pressure port, and I just tightened it up. I would think those fittings that screw onto your lines and house the schrader valve are proprietary to your vehicle/manufacturer, because the AC lines I have seen and worked on (and I have completely refurbished AC systems on 2 cars and 2 semi trucks) have all been brazed or welded on.

The shrader valves themselves are probably bigger. There’s about 4 different sizes. I just went through this on my high side. Regular tool won’t fit. NAPA has the tool and the valve cores. Get the black hardened tool, for a couple bucks extra.

You can take the valve itself out, they sell kits on Amazon that includes the tool to unscrew the valves!
