    Sometimes, it is difficult to decipher a writer's intent contained in one sentence.

    Live goes on despite the fact that many of us might feel disappointed. Disappointed not because of this or that election outcome but by the fact that in this great country something like vote swindling has never been an issue before. Unthinkable that the very first democracy that came into being in the history of the World has came to the point of facing the same issues as some banana republics do.
    -------
    Live goes on. The fishermen need to sail out to catch fish.
    I came back from TN to Milwaukee, WI area (650miles) for $1200; nothing special about the rate but I took it because
    1. it had flexible pick up and delivery hours;
    2. put me home over the weekend;
    3. connected me with another load from there for $4800 with 2 drops: one in CT another in MD (1350 miles) which is very good.
    From MD back to Chicago area 750 miles, I am expecting $1200-1500 to get home.

    I am still getting solid revenue. I don't know how much longer it will continue but I am glad to have been able to stay for the most of it so far. For the Thanksgiving and Christmas (I hope the word Christmas will still be allowed with the new establishment) I plan to take it easy and slow down. I look forward to it. Time to sip wine, eat cheese and read books (made from paper).
    It is not even half of November and my profits are already the best I ever got as an independent o/o. Who would have thought that the time of cholera could be such a good time for business?

    P.S. By doing: "Book it now", load boards, mega brokers....imagine that.

    I still think a win is coming. Gonna be a lot of surprised people IMO. I’ll keep it vague.

    Everything is holding pretty steady on my end. One shipper I was dealing with consistently (thru a broker) pulled back. So, I had to jump on another wave this last week and half.

    Going down to N. CAL for my second time in a week. No 6 course meals by my wife every night, as I've actually spent a couple of nights in the truck ;-) I've been on a diet (again) so canned chicken and rice suits me well.

    Pay is good though. Thus, not much to complain about.

    Just paid my IRP & IFTA renewals for 2021 this morning here at home. Insurance quotes are coming in as well for 2021 and looking are pretty good.

    10-4 good buddies.

    I've been doing pretty good still. Only thing I've had change was I had a broker tell me yesterday that he couldn't give me the same rate on a load I've pulled for them 10 times in the last month. Suddenly he's telling me they are wanting to move it $250 cheaper than what I've been pulling it for the previous 10 times. Who knows if this is coincidence, random, or wtf the reasoning is but I told him not a chance I'm running the same load 250 bucks cheaper than I've hauled it for on multiple occasions for them.

    On my way north for the second time this week. By the time I get home Saturday after 5 days out, I'll have 4 loads under my belt, and logged around 3,500 miles, all on the I-5.

    I'll be a zombie for a couple days, but a zombie that had a great week.
