whats fair pay for drivers with 1-2 years exp

Counter proposal is 25% of the ALL IN rate and if the driver is paying for 25% of the fuel he gets the write off for his portion.

And I would want to be involved in the specs and how the truck is set up.

I WAS classified as an employee.

I WAS paid on a W-2

I ALSO fit the strict interpretation of Tb0n3's definition of a true contractor.

I'm just saying that what HE said is correct, but it's only PART of the IC test.

 

No work comp if you get hurt.

 

If you're a 1099 you pay your estimated taxes quarterly or pay a penalty at the end of the year. Run the numbers on buying your own insurance and retirement. If its fair I think a net of 65 cents/mile plus bonuses would be OK.

 

With that much experience you might be looking at a great healthcare package which I don't offer
