It weighs considerably less than a 12 gauge with a 28 inch barrel and full stock for example, so there would be a difference in recoil in a lightweight gun like that in comparison to a heavier one

True, weight has a little to do with it, but with a shotgun I think it has more to do with the shells you’re using.

A load of birdshot or a target load is lighter than a load of 00 buck for example, so it has less resistance and will kick less.

In something like that minishells might be best. That way the gun will be easier to hold on to, plus you’llnbe able to fit more in the tube.

I agreed with the type of shells you’re using, summed it up nicely in this message; the weight of the gun, type of shell and the stature of the person holding the gun is what I’d look at to determine the amount of recoil lol If you’re a big fat ####### like me then it doesn’t make much difference and all you’ll feel is a little thump (if that), but if you’re like @D.Tibbitt you might cut a flip or two, or a teenage girl :D

Loadin out here in Abq. But got bent over. Load goes to Midland and there's no way I can get it there by 4pm (central time) today. So looks like Im sittin on my ### in Midland for 2 days. I can't figure out anything else that doesn't involved a few hundred miles of DH to run another load towards the house. Couldn't even get anything going west to atleast keep me moving through next week.
