I am glad they charge for parking or for having such an option. I can plan to park at any place and any time I want. In addition to that, I'd want them to increase fees progressively as the available spots are selling out.

    jsnell and SteveScott Thank this.

I'm not about to quit paying for a parking space!!! I find the ability to reserve a parking space priceless!!!
I reserve a parking spot ahead of time for several reasons. When my pick up or delivery will have me needing a place to park when it is late. When I'm on a load with a tight schedule and need to run till my clock is lower than I'm comfortable. When I'm feeling lazy and want a spot where I don't have to walk so far to get to the store itself. When I am in an unfamiliar area and not sure how crowded parking will be when I get there. When I'm in an area where I already know parking gets tight really early.
Also, the biggest reason I reserve a spot isn't so much the spot itself. It is the ability to not have to worry about finding a parking spot; knowing I have one waiting for me. On more than one occasion, I reserved a spot and ended up not using it. Sometimes plans change. Sometimes I stop shorter than planned and found a spot elsewhere that worked better for me than the one I had reserved.
I personally get tired of all the flak about paid parking. I find it a helpful tool and utilize it when it is beneficial to me and don't understand why folks don't get it. If you don't like paid parking, don't use it.

I use the paid parking when necessary, and don’t have any complaints about it. But I don’t know about increasing the fees like that. Wouldn’t that be the same as price gouging like what can happen after a hurricane for a gallon of gas, or water?

Never paid yet, don't plan to, no idea what they charge. We support the heck outta them already buying fuel and crappy junk food they kill us with.

Make the person who forced you to start driving a truck pay for your parking, that’s the root of your problem.

I hope you don’t complain when they increase tolls, insurance and other fees every year. By your logic they should charge congestion fees when we drive during rush hour? Just like NJ turnpike does when we use toll roads during business hours.

I don’t pay for parking never have never will, actually I have at the 75 chrome shop, I’d pay again there also. Other then that though I understand why they charge, some guys don’t even buy a drink, throw there trash next to there truck and leave. It’s a disgrace honestly.

Why do we let McDonalds charge us for hamburgers? If it weren’t for our hunger, they wouldn’t even exist.
