Didn’t get far yesterday. Found a VFW fish fry, Lake perch. I was wore out, getting the Truck together, loading up all my wife’s stuff. I call her the bag lady. She’s got a bag for everything. I travel light. Used to flying out of the house with just one bag of clothes. Next on the list is building a shelf around the side and back walls of my sleeper.

Got a pot made. Used the 1000w. It smoked a bit, at first. Shut coffee pot off. Waited about a minute. Then it worked fine. Beeped once. Showing 8600-9500 draw. 13.9 amps of power with Truck running, probably work fine for fridge. Still don’t trust it.

My Dad would go through there and say,"This is truly a rat race. It's just like one of those things you see on TV with the rats in it."

I bought a potek. 2000 watt. It broke and started smoking going around Indy at rush hour. Truck vibrations. I pull over at an apex and was frantically taking the power leads off. Smh. I had hazmat in the tanker too.

I run the truck almost always when making coffee or using microwave. Once in a blue moon I'll make coffee with engine off. Am in a dock and will run the truck in less than an hour so I know it will start after coffee.

When the day comes a driver can't take a dump without worrying about if he has enough time. Doesn't work for me.

Lol, when I first saw it smoking, I panicked, turned it off and jumped out, pulled the battery box cover. Expected to find hot wires. I’m going to start by replacing the 1500w with a 2000w. inverter. And eventually the the 1000w with a 1500w. It’s wired already for those amounts.

I honestly hate your dual inverter idea. I think you're going to Hindenburg.

Just get a 2000 or 3000 watt inverter. Just one. And put all the power wires into that one inverter. It should work. Your going to use the microwave 8 minutes tops for a baked potato. Coffee is 90 seconds on my cheap Wally keurig. Go harbor freight.

The switch gear overheated in the inverter it was rated too low for the draw. Or just built like crap and they put big numbers on the box to make it look like a great deal. It should have turned off and self protected......

    What brand did you get?

They are normally dealing with the most disreputable door swingers around..... micro managing bosses, and a mexi mafia crew. Good people don't last long.
