You're absolutely right!! If somebody cuts you off..you get #####ed at for following too closely.!!! Etc... Sometimes i wonder just exactly what else they are spying on with them .Some put tape over the cab side of them.

Because you probably drive when your driving.. lol... These systems train drivers to operate safer.. thats the main cause for adding them. The drivers either change their habits (usually to stop the dings, whoops and lights) and it makes them better whether they want to or not. Those who refuse to be better, find themselves outside looking in.

Find a company that will put you in a fast hood with a fist full of dollars. Leave the cameras and nanny equipment.

I have one in my company truck,,,no idea how it works, I put tape over the lights as I don’t need a distraction. Got about right on top of a moose last week but managed to dodge it,,,no love letter from the company so who knows what they view as hard brake application is supposed to put them in action...

A number of "events" are expected in every day driving and accepted.. if the event is severe, the event is noted and if it can be explained "like an errant moose", its not an issue.. If some dude has 40 or 50 hard braking events in a week.. that flags the driver and the driver needs to explain the issues. In systems with cameras that are triggered with these events, the driver will have to probably undergo more training. If the driver doesn't improve their number of events after that, they will probably get rid of them. This is smart for the company and smart for everyone in the company.. Rear end accidents are HUGELY expensive to settle.. if a driver cannot or will not stop driving up people's rear ends.. they need to learn or go crash someone else's truck
