Do you guys worry about com like tusimple making driverless trucks?

Back in 2005 we saw the same thing, that was 15 years ago. Get your CDL and learn then worry about what company you're going to drive for if you're going to worry about anything.

Here's your answer ^^^^ and there's really only one word of it that matters. Maybe two. The words are 'Sue' and 'lawyers'. That's why, at least in America, there will always be a human at the helm.

 

No, they rush to pump out whatever it takes to make a buck but don't make it as robust as it needs to be. "liability" will smack them right down in time.

 

My 2 biggest concerns out here are: Will I be alive tomorrow morning......will I get 3700 miles this week.

Mine likes to randomly slam on the brakes when going through tunnels, every day I remind my boss, this #### truck kills me, I will come back to haunt you.

 

The only section of trucking I can see taking any kind of hit in the foreseeable future from automation is dedicated runs that can be done out and back on less than a tank of fuel. Those are the only runs that would take enough variables out, and even then there would be enough variables leftover for it to take I would guess another at least 15-20 for the tech to be good enough to handle.
