Back in 2018 a brother of a co worker of my wife had this happen to him with his 10 wheeler mixer. It was a freak thing as well. He was in a coma for almost 9 months. He passed away 5 months ago from complications due to the brain injury. He had been driving mixers for the same company for about 30 years. They took care of his expenses.

Those concrete trucks have huge baloon front wheels. They blow, there is no getting on the tthrottle.

We have 445 WB tires on our cement trucks.
Our dump trucks carry more weight but use a 425 WB tires.
I sure hope they never blow with me in the truck.
That’s scary to watch when it happens to others.Bud A. Thanks this. -
Empty and the blowout yanked the steering wheel out of their hands. When a float steer tire goes, it's tough to hang on to.

Is it worse empty or loaded when those large steer tire blows?
I know neither is good at all.
