This is proving to be a challenge finding a place to have my medical done. Can anybody recommend a place that will take evening walk-ins in the south Edmonton/Leduc area?

    Flint1 Thanks this.

I'll look into that thank you. I've got a couple months until I need to get it done but with everything going on I figure I'd better get a jump on it real early.

Check health clinics for Nurse Practioner,,,they can do driver medicals in Ontario,,,should be able to in your area,,and they cheaper than doctors.
Try phoning nurses registry,,,they can connect you with one

Any time I go to a walk-in I usually go first thing in the morning, or last thing in the evening. Google/Maps "Popular Times" is your friend. :)

Found a place and got it booked in for next week.

@not4hire according to the AB website, the medical is valid for 6 months. That's the form to doctor gives you, correct?

    Isafarmboy Thanks this.

    Yes, valid for six months.

Make sure the clinic has the form on-hand before you go to your appointment. It can also be downloaded: https://www.alberta.ca/assets/documents/tr-electronic-medical-report.pdf

I don't think you have a Class 6? If you do, though, make sure under section B, "Physician's Statement and Certificate" they check the box. I know, no medical required for Class 6, but I had one moron at the AMA who was going to refuse to renew my 6 because it wasn't checked. I usually just do it myself now. :biggrin_2559: A good reason to not wait until the last minute though, just in case there are any hiccups.

Especially now with another lockdown looming I'm not taking chances.

You can also renew your license 3 or 6 months early...
My doctor had me bring in the form. From the link provided by @not4hire
