Getting stuck on a ramp is the reason I wanted a 1 ton WITH 4X4 so I can get myself and boat out of the water and up the ramp.

I love the internet. I just did a search and found some nice site put up by the government, it shows ramps around Nova Scotia. This site list the location, gps coordinates, surface, slope, width and comments such as turning, parking or if there are any fees. They also have a picture of the ramp for most as well.

I have found some that could be an issue, a few that I'm sure could cost a tow bill and a bunch that look safe enough (from info and pictures) to launch with a tractor. I would talk to people and check a few of these out before I really pulled the trigger but it does look pretty good.

Is that Pete custom made or built by a shop? That looks sweet.

I would love to have a CXT but the cost is a huge problem.

I thought of a way to get some weight on the drives. I could add a water tank so I could rinse the salt water off the rear of the truck, boat and trailer.

Looking at the ramps online I don't think I will have a problem but it would be nice to rinse things down.

depending on exactly what your looking for, around here, alot of guys buy those chevy 45/5500's and have dually beds put on them...they look pretty cool too...let me see if I can find a pic of one.

That looks pretty good. I don't thing I seen the quad cab. I drove a 4wd 5500 with a dump box for a while last year. The 4wd worked well. I needed it a few times with a load in the box.

The CXT is $80000-90000. The 5500 is about $40000-50000. I think I can get a nice rig for less.

I like to have a big motor with a stick coming out of the floor. Not sure if I would go for a daycab or a sleeper. I do like the idea of the quad cabs.
