    Hey guys got a 2003 Volvo Tandem axle dump truck. Speedo isn’t working. Looking for some troubleshooting guidance?

    How can I test the sensor on the back of the trans?

    On some trucks you could unplug the speedo and tach wires. Plug the speedo cable up to the tach sensor. You know what ever it says is a lie but if you get a steady constant reading you know the problem is sensor related.

    You can also spin a drill bit and hold the sensor to it. Other option is to ohms the wires out end to end
