    Series 60 14.0 Egr deleted
    Rebuilt at 1.2 mil miles

    - Inframe
    - new camshaft, head, all gears in front cover, motor mounts, all sensors on block and in front, fuel/water/oil/air pumps, air comp, starter, all other small stuff: gaskets, rings, etc

    mechanic checked all other components and checked out fine

    Total: 18k

    That's high, I can get my cat rebuilt for that and that is a platinum kit. And if you are not getting the bull gear replaced and the block cut, you are making a HUGE mistake!

    thats what I felt. Bull gear was replaced along with all other gears. Do not think block was cut. Is that standard for an inframe?

    Engine is only part of the equation for me. What's the rest of the truck like? Brand new engine in a turd doesn't cut it for me.

    cosmetically in 85% shape, just a standard shaker. First truck, got all the same paint though lol

    driveline is in good shape, will probably do the trans middle of next year, other than that everything works

    Ah, you got a way with words, my friend. I agree, electrical gremlins will drive you NUTS in a unit like this, trust me, been there with a million mile Frightliner[sic],,,people give me crap about Peterbilts, but my '72, I never had an electrical issue, and that truck was 30 years old.

    Apparently so! Bull gear chipped several teeth in turn chipping cam gear and whatever other gears were in there and threw the timing. Got towed a hour away from plain view tx back to Haslet and told them to gut it. Best part was the tow truck driver showing what 102mph feels in his third time rebuilt Pete company truck

    Working to get a older truck and rebuilt it completely, but the budget was low starting out. Only been driving since 2018, only ever been O/O, so it’s been a lot of expensive lessons keeping me from grabbing a more true truck
