When you're riding the lane marking on the left and the right side of the trailer is on the right line and your company doesn't want to fix it, time for another company.
God prefers Diesels, GreenPete359 and Coffey Thank this. -

passenger mirror tells you where you are, driver mirror tells you where you're going. you have to consider both for it to work out ok. kind of like male and female. also one is always confusing you, and never quite comfortable enough
RubyEagle, Trucker61016 and 86scotty Thank this. -
Take a few minutes to adjust mirrors to your comfort. Losen mounting bolts so not twisting, distorting mirrors, bending arms etc.
Driving, and backing, is ssoooo much easier when mirrors are set to my natural, comfortable seat position. A quick glance and I see what I should be seeing vs leaning to accommodate mirror position. This is amplified when each mirror is in different position, both wrong, leaning back 'n forth to accommodate each wrong mirror position.

One thing I’ve noticed messing with lots of different trucks over the years is mirror brands and quality are different. Some will distort/twist images and some will make distances shorter or longer. Back up to a dock and you know what I mean. Some styles and brands put the rear corner dead nuts on the dock while others make it look like you still have 3 ft to go or you hit it 3 ft ago.
Worst mirrors are the ones IHC used on the S-series trucks. Always dull and dim glass and made you look like you had a yard to go behind you when you hit.
Best ones were Freightliner. The wedged back stainless steel ones they used on everything from the 80’s till they went plastic. Dead nuts and bright clear glass on those.nredfor88, truckguy391, 650cat425 and 2 others Thank this.
