Happens very often on these busy 2 lane roads from both 4 wheelers and semis. Best thing you can hope for is that drivers dont be pricks and create accidents.

Perfectly safe. Just put it in 18-wheel drive, and go?

Didnt exactly run the pickup off the road. Looked like the pick up had seen it before and just moved over. Probably happens alot on that neck of the road.

I've had more than a few run-ins over the years with those idiots on that stretch from Jasper to Tete Jaune.magoo68 Thanks this. -
The particular stretch of road where this happened is not really the best place for trucks to pass. About half a klick behind where the video starts the road crests a hill and its a small downhill all the way to the bridge. The road kind of bends slightly to the left partways down and its treed in enough that you can't safely see what's coming at you down the straightaway.
What usually happens is there's a line of traffic and a goofball like in the video decides to take advantage of the momentum, pull out and pass several vehicles at once. Then they need to try and tuck in somewhere, but the traffic is bottlenecked up so they really have no choice but to hammer down. I've seen it happen here a couple times.Bud A. Thanks this.
