I did ask this 5 years ago looking to see if there was something I could learn. I have had no issues since

Good drivers are rare now. Some of the arguments I understand though. Be prepared to pay in the $80,000 a year range for a decent one. Also noone wants to run run long anymore. Home weekends is now a must

This post is 7 years old now. I don’t have a stinger driver that’s paid that little. I renewed the fleet and now have 8 trucks that are less than 3 years old. We pay on W2 basis and have many perks and benefits. Most of my drivers live right in the zone and are home nightly. Now they want to take turns going OTR to stretch their legs. And your 80k is off by a bunch.

Because you can’t afford me lol

all BS aside, I worked for a hauler and 1 driver out of every 5 would last 6 months, and 1 out of 20 would last over 3 years.

That’s me. Perfect record very experienced driver of 35 years in all sorts of terrain with most big commercial vehicles. Just new to tractor trailer.. Can’t find a job because I lack experience....Well I also don’t want more than 5 days OTR but still. I’m no kid. No one will take a chance...

Good luck. Maybe you have to pay more $$ to attract the serious pros?

Most of my drivers are home nightly and stinger guys make $100,000.00 a year or better. Also the equipment is less than 4 years old. This post is several years old and now most of my guys are with us 3 years or more. Thanks for your advise.
