The company I'm working with is adding a few 4900's to their fleet and sounds like I'll be assigned to one.
I've not had the chance to physically scope one out, so it leads me to my question. Will a Connex 3300 fit in the cb slot without hacking up the slot?

I went looking for interior pics but couldnt see what i was looking for..If you get to see inside one look at the bottom of that over head cb mount area and see if there are vent holes..If so use them or build a bracket to fit..

I might be able to work up some kind of bracket to work if I can't get the Connex to fit in the regular cb slot. I attached a borrowed pic of the cb slot and a borrowed pic of what's on the bottom side of the overhead.
Thank you, both, for your quick replies.Attached Files:

Ok here is another idea..
Double sided sticky tape it to your dash, run your own coax..
My 955 would fit in my cascadia but stuck out to far and from sitting below it bljrred the screen some..Soo after seeing others do it (even though i said no way)i tried it..Its solid bud,solid..gummy bear Thanks this. -

When they get the trucks in, and I get mine, I'll have to take some time to see what I can figure out.Hammer166 Thanks this. -

Well, I decided to take the easiest route I could think of and spent some windfall cash on a brand new Connex CX-33HPC 1. Just as described on all of the product info pages I've seen, it's the same size as a Cobra 29.
So, I'm using it in my current truck until the new trucks come in.Hammer166 Thanks this.
