Seems like we had some type of questionnaire last time I renewed 4 years ago.

Kansas said all CDL drivers had to sign up. Our local DMV didn't say anything about it.

I did sign up but never heard another word about it.

 

It's annoying.. should there be an informational campaign? Sure.. should this be a part of licensing and generally irritating as hell? No. One of the largest groups that utilize trafficked women and children ARE truck drivers.. Who's kidding who?

I never quite understood all of the hype over human trafficking in the US. Yes it occasionally happens, but there aren't hundreds of thousands of children being held as sex slaves in the US as the web site claims, and there never have been. Every year we hear about law enforcement doing a nation wide (usually a couple big cities like Chicago and NYC) crackdown on human trafficking, and then we hear about less than a dozen pimps busted with teenage girls working for them, not hundreds or thousands of girls. My guess is that a handful of people are making a ton of money from contributions for over hyping the situation, kind of like man made global warming is making a lot of people extremely wealthy by being over hyped.

 

Every oversize permit ordered in Ohio comes with a single page flyer in human trafficking. It’s ridiculous.
