While a lot of people doing alright in this pandemic, many are in bad struggle. It's just hard reading the comments

 

You've got that right. Being a driver AND living in California, I see a lot of homeless. I've become jaded over the last few years with all of the panhandlers and drug abusers that seem to be everywhere. So yesterday afternoon I go to my local Safeway to get some food for my truck and I noticed that the car next to me had the windows open and a young man sleeping reclined in the driver's seat. I could see in the car that he had all of his worldly possessions crammed in a Honda Civic, and his registration had expired last July. This guy wasn't standing on a corner with a sign or harassing store customers for hand outs. He was just trying to survive and not bothering anybody. I tapped on his window and asked if he was doing ok. He said that he hadn't eaten today and I asked if he wanted a sandwich, and he smiled and accepted my offer. Walked out with a sandwich and a soda with chips. Gave him $80 and told him to go up to the motel 6 to get a bed and a shower for the night. Told me he was a line cook at a restaurant until it closed in June from the pandemic, and his $300 per month unemployment ran out 3 weeks ago and he got kicked out of the room he was renting. He had nobody and didn't know what to do or where to go. Told him I was leaving for work, but gave him my card and told him to call me for suggestions or advice any time, and I would do what I can.

There are hundreds of thousands of people just like this guy out there now, or soon will be. It's going to take years for the true effects of this shutdown to become apparent. It's all for nothing and doesn't need to be done like this. Between the corruption in government and the power trips the governors are playing out with lockdowns, I no longer recognize my country.

 

A party is not your average Joe going about thier normal day to day either.

That many people in one event... Probably were getting some grief from someone so they acted to save face.

 

Just doing their part to boost the post XmAs deaths. They must have a big target!

 

We're slammed with contract freight we can't cover because we dont have enough trucks. I plan on hitting it hard this next week right up through xmas even, then the truck is getting some work done and Im playing hooky for about 10 days. After that, Im gonna run every load I can until the economy collapses or everyone turns into zombies from this bs "vaccine".
