It's like they're afraid of the right lane for some reason. Maybe they think they'll get sucked off the road

MACK E-6 Thanks this.

That bit of good advice is well worth repeating and putting into practice by everyone,
and not just Big truck truck drivers.UturnGirl, blairandgretchen, Lonesome and 1 other person Thank this. -
Brettj3876 and Lonesome Thank this.

Get a slower truck or a heavier load. Then it's just you screaming at the windshield, unable to do anything. What's the deal with idiots driving white vans by the way?
-
I do not miss those miles long lines of trucks stacked up at all. -
I've started making a game of what I think these idiots will do. Usually racing up to cut people off to take an exit or racing up the on ramp to beat the line of traffic because they think they're more important.
The amount of stupid I encounter on a daily basis truly leaves me in disbelief that these people have a license. In fact, I actually think that a lot of people don't. I also think a lot of people on the road are under the influence of drugs. The things that some people do in a vehicle make no sense otherwise.
I could go on and on about encounters I've had. Its made me a much more angry person. -
only 10% is actually malice. the other 90% is actually fear response, a catatonic state of reactionary fight or flight. neither are a higher intelligence, both are purely imitative survival mechanism. based on motion. like a reptile. stop moving and it goes stiff. give it a try. impossible to know the difference between the 10% and the 90%, until you notice one has a 1000 yard stare, and the other one has a smile. in dealing with the 10%, bear in mind it's just as helpless as the 90%. deliberate malice is weakness taken root. give it lots and lots of room.

In these days of potential infection, I try to keep all possible engagements to zero. Two lane roads, just let them go by and be a princess somewhere else. Country bumpkin, 3rd world, one lane roads? I just do like that thread I made awhile ago and go to the shoulder with flashers.
The road's a dangerous place and we all got to do our part to let the high speed debris keep drifting on into space.
