    I drove 2 of them when I started at a mega. DD13 w/ DT12. They did well, except that until the tranny oil was warmed up above 85 degrees, they would *not* shift, so, if it's *cold*, prewarm the tranny oil. Also, when backing to a dock, disengage both the hillhold and traction control for much smoother backing. Also, don't confuse the transmission by feathering both the brake and the accelerator; one or the other, not both, for smooth backing.

    Watch out on the Freightliners with Detroit Diesel engines. The One Box emissions system seems to go bad around 600,000 miles. The DOC/SCR filers stop working and the only fix is a new emissions box for about $12,000.
