Minimum starting pay $15.00 per hour plus benefits from day one for warehouse workers. I wouldn't want to work there, but, there are worse jobs with no benefits. All a matter of perspective I guess.

exactly. Just ask the "West Memphis Three." They were innocent and eventually freed from prison. After 18 years.

This is why whenever I’m sent to our Laredo terminal to pickup a trailer that was loaded in Mexico I check the seals(typically 2-3 green straps wrapped around the doors by the shipper, plus 2-3 wire seals around the latches) and mark on the paperwork when and where the trailer was picked up,plus mark on there “PRELOADED TRAILER-SEAL INTACT”.

But it seems like everytime I read something about this, drivers are always arrested and incarcerated on the spot. What? It doesn’t matter if you install inside trailer cameras. So we are basically Guilty until provent innocent. My theory is that if they find drugs in your truck or load, then it’s an automatic conviction. 100 percent of the time. ATA should do a research statistic on this, I’m betting money that it’s 100 percent of the time.

There are cases where people have been wrongfully convicted, got out and got nothing. Like this guy, wrongfully convicted for 23 years lol:

That happens in states that are aggressive with inspections. Indiana is definitely one of those states. Ohio is another one. I got inspected at the scale in Girard I think it was, or maybe Hubbard. I dont know which city they classify that scale as. I was hauling a load of tires from New Jersey. They broke the seal and put one of theirs on. They at least give you documentation on it. Still a pain in the rear though.

We’re truckers, we’re “dangerous.” If you don’t believe that just look at the rich lawyers that are paying more in a month to Lamar for advertising than we pay for a truck. One of their biggest advertisements is protecting the public from us by stripping us of everything but our shorts in the event of an accident whether we are innocent or guilty.
