I forgot to ask the mgr but will during our phone interview on Friday, but he mentioned when I’d have to cover line-haul that I would switch over to mileage pay. What should I expect (roughly) when I ask him that question? Is there a reason they do their pay that way (changing someone from hourly to mileage for s particular function?

 

It’s mainly a cost controlling reason. Ot doesn’t exist on linehaul and this makes linehaul an easily calculable expense.

The mileage and task pay when running line is far more lucrative for you as a driver than the hourly pay is.

They keep leaving me VMs to email them back. How stupid. Leave me a number so we can actually talk. I send the email, they leave a VM, rinse-and-repeat.

 

Had a nearly 2 hour phone interview. I could have sworn he said it was going to be ~30 mins, but the STAR questions kept coming. Thought it was a good interview, but who knows what they’re looking for. I will no one way or the other ntl next Friday.
