By replying to their email, you just confirmed that they had an active O/O and a valid address. Now they will send much much random O/O spam to your email account. Never answer spam email or texts because it never ends well for you.

I am getting these emails every day from different scumbags. Most of the time they want to do the Biennial and UCR for me. Too easy and too trivial not to do it yourself. What gets me is that those emails have an element of deception and scare tactics, trying to instill fear in the recipient by making him think that they are a government body officials.

I called once their number by using *67 (to hide my number) for the hell of it - I guess I was bored and I put a good face on a bad game, pretending that I was completely unware of such a thing as UCR, I pretended to be scared too. However, I tried not exercise too much of a fake histeria not to give myself up. So I found out that they would help me to file UCR for $100. I said that I was more than happy with that and went on as far as offering the first 3 digits of my MC number but then with the 4th I started stuttering and after I apologized for the stutter I started to produce a sound of hen...well that was enough for them and they hung up on me rudely.

You know that these update you can do more frequently too, if you want. I always update that in January with the latest year mileage...there is actually nothing more to update there for me.

That's what I do. All my renewals are at the end of the year. I update the 150 also every year.
That way I don't forget. It really is a useless required piece of information.

The redundant paperwork required is just a way to get extra revenue from us operator's that keep busy driving. Extra fines because we forget and are late filing. For me it's been years for a late fee. When I started out it would happen frequently.
Why not just include it in one filing withe the IRP?
Combine it into one. dOT, MC, IRP, 150, UCR, HVUT.
It's the same information, 1 office. Get rid of a couple thousand government employees and use the taxes saved to lower ,,,,,, the debt, the tax rate ????

I know, BIG government will never allow the reduction of employees on the payroll, until we(the citizens) demand better use of our taxes.

I agree with Catspd and others. Just file the paperwork yourself it's easy.

Yes I know, I sound like I've been taking too many vitamins.
I just get riled. The penalties all the small owners pay.

UCR 1truck $60. Why not make it $60 for every truck. (Seriously I prefer to get rid of it.) But all things equal every truck should be charged the same.

What information does the UCR fill that we can't get from the USDOT or the IRP.

    Forgot to add the SCAC.
