Disc Brake squeal on volvo 2012 670

What is your running clearance set at? Or how many clicks back did you turn the adjuster? Did you check to see if the sliders moved freely in the bores and the slider boots were not damaged? Did you verify that the caliper adjuster is moving properly?

 

Without actually putting hands on it i cant say exactly......but from the sounds of things my hunch is the running clearance is at the tight end of the scale and the pads are glazed up.

Best option is to take it to a shop and have them verify the "running clearance"....if its not correct, have them pull and service the pads to remove the glazing....then tell them to put it back together but tell them you want them to back off the adjuster to the fully retracted position and pump the brakes till they apply and hold when pedal pushed. The reason to do it this way is the brakes are self adjusting, so each pump will adjust the self adjusters till its set up properly and avoid a mechanic from adjusting them incorrectly [which we see all the time]
