After 28 years of driving I found myself working for Walmart private fleet I must say when I read things about the private fleet I laugh .With that said for this type of work you cant beat the pay I was a car hauler for the last 18 years .Now I have only been here 18 months so I dont know a lot.

How often are you extending out of curiosity?

 

I have extended 2 times in the last 5 years.

 

Well I officially left on Nov 30th...there was a lot that was good with WM, but unfortunately, the bad was enough for me to realize it wasn’t the job I wanted to retire at. A word for those that are considering or in the future may consider leaving....don’t count on giving a 2 week notice when setting up your start date with your next employer. I went in to HR to give my notice and was cut loose on the spot. I was shocked that I was literally done and leaving 5 mins after giving my notice...pretty much turn in your IDs, uniforms, credit card and have a nice day. Spent more time saying goodbye to the couple coordinators I actually liked than off boarding. Goes to show that besides personal relationships, to WM you are just a number anymore.
