insurance adjuster coming to inspect truck

Have you had estimates written by a dealer? If not I would try to get 3 estimates in place. Adjusters typically only know what the book says. They are not familiar with all that is involved in actually repairing the problem whether its internal or physical....If you plan to do the repairs yourself you will have a hard time getting an ammendment check if he/she doesn't submit every detail of the repairs initially. This is where the estimates will help you insure that the correct items and amounts are disbursed for the repairs.

Example: lets say there is front end damage. Adjuster looks at it and determines ---new radiator, 1.5hrs core support pull, 1 hr paint. Sometime the core support is damaged beyond being able to be pulled and must be replaced. Now you have to get the 3.5 (or 2 hrs extra) for the core support replacement plus the cost of the support...
