Okay, 2nd time this has happened to me, got the engine washed, and CEL & AMBER ENG light comes on, engine sputters and turns off.
I turn off master switch and let stand for 5 min - clears code, ENG starts then sputters off.
1st time let the truck sit overnight and it fixed itself. I'll try that again today (Kentucky).
Can someone tell me what this code stands for and if it is a wet sensor - which one is it so I can dry it and NEVER wash my engine again.

Parkcarrier Fault SPN279 FMI 14 on a EPA 07 or EPA10 engine is Exhaust Gas Recirculation Valve Actuator Failsafe Mode, Motor ON. Here is the diagnostic steps. Hope this helps you understand the problem and gives some direction. If you want the most accurate information post the last six digits of your VIN, when you ask about fault codes.
