What would be the best cleaner for work boots that are used for hauling fuel? (Just bought new boots and want to make them last.) Would dish soap ruin the leather? Thanks

    What kind of boots??

Would be best to oil them up with a good boot oil/wax and keep up on the oil/wax coating. This is what I used on my whites boots. 83CB5C42-CAF5-4567-9B5D-FF54153D52FF.jpeg

Many drivers change in the garage and put their dirty uniforms right into the washing machine. They never let work into the house. As a fuel/oil hauler you dont smell the stuff after a while.

As for cleaning the boots any boot cleaner or saddle soap will do. But fuel does soak in.

Motor oil works as good as anything. Used oil works great if you want to darken them as well. If you have real leather it's not about cleaning them, it's more about keeping the leather soft. Just like a baseball glove.
