An executive decision has been made.
It’s taken about a year to decide.
Another trailer was in the future, but I just didn’t know which way to go. I entertained the idea of following in @Old Man s footsteps in a mini deck RGN.
Also an extendable RGN.
Three things influenced my decision.
Availability of trailer/freight in the goldfish bowl of LS.
Revenue of trailer type.
Familiarity with equipment/permit/escorts/freight.
So I’m using the 25k and refreshing the business credit with a 15k loan for a total of 40k for . . .
A 2015 Doonan 53’ step extendable tri axle trailer, 10’ on the top, 43-65 on the lower deck , allowing unlimited width, 65+ length, and with a 36” lower deck, 10’6” (or 11’ in western states), height.
Trailer weight is the same, 17,000 lbs - so 37,500 lbs freight capacity remains the same without permitting weight.
We will see where this leads.
RStewart, 4mer trucker, D.Tibbitt and 31 others Thank this.
