Well, you could buy one at any trailer repair shop. Other means of acquiring one I'll leave to your imagination.

@farmerjohn64,if you go to buy a handle, you need one for Jost brand landing gear. They take a different handle than other brands. The end of the shaft has 2 flat spots for the handle to fit on instead of round like the rest.

Hey, I think thats the trailer I took the handle off of up in Sweetwater last month!

Actually ahole, if I'd needed a handle, I'd have taken it off, used it and put it back.

Why wouldn’t you just call your truck service line and tell them you can’t hook up to the trailer till they come fox it?
That’s totally stupid. Not your job to figure that out?

I wouldn’t work for a company that thinks that’s ok for the last driver to leave that trailer like that for you.

I mean didn’t they just make you pay a tow bill?

At this point you might as well just get your own equipment and customers?

    Stupidly! Just stupid!

And now I'm gonna start taking the handles off all western express trailers and leaving Johns # for them to call if they want it back.

The sad part is, if he had refused to pay and forced them to call a service, they would've called a wrecker from probably 35-40mi away, paid whatever the ridiculous amount was, then taken it from his settlement.
