There will always be exemptions, and medical care is one of them you would need to get in touch with the Canadian dep of immigration to find out what forms you will have to fill in to get the exemption. Is there no hospital in the USA that can do this?

 

Probably be like the "mandatory" quarantine the media kept going on about in the beginning. No one told the border guards, they told everyone crossing into Canada it was voluntarily unless you had symptoms.

 

You can drive down if your having a medical procedure done. It’s considered essential.

Going by the photo I would say the travel is essential

 

And stuff like that is exactly why I think most of these restrictions are BS. Gotta stand in line just to get into a store, essential vs non-essential etc. Yet an "elite" can just fly off to another country and enjoy a vacation.

 

North Dakota same economic restrictions the other states same mask mandate.
South Dakota no restrictions no mask mandate.
Both states had near identical case trends. Go figure.
